Reb Johnny z”l _Reb Yoinoson Binyamin Hakohen Z”L
This site is dedicated as memorial to our dear friend teacher rebbe Reb Yoinoson Binyamin Hakohen Abraham Zatzal Also known to many as Reb Johnny or just simply Johnny.
Oh how we miss you already! You have touched so many lives. Although you left no surviving children you left over so many yesoimim who cherished you as their teacher their mentor their friend.
You passed away Motzei Simchas Torah in the midst of doing what you loved most learning torah. Regardless of the various matzavim in your life, the thing you yearned for the most, enjoyed the most, and satisfied you the most was learning a blatt gemoroh biyun, being lun biomko shel sugya. May your legacy remain with us, you should continue to inspire us when we unearth the bits of wisdom, you wrote, spoke and tought to the masses that you met from all walks of life.
As we gather the information we will post it. We ask all of Reb Yoinoson’s, Reb Johhny’s, Johnny’s friends, students, talmidim and peers to post their comments to create a lasting tribute and memorial to our dear friend and rebbe.

Photo #2 does better justice. It captures his erudite personality and is also a true representation of what he actually looked like the year or so before his passing.
I recently found Reb Gidalyah Nidal’s sefer “BiToroso seh Reb Gedaliyah” online here:

Does anyone know if Johnny saw this sefer & if he used any of the ideas in his shiurim?
